FAQ

How long will it take to get my photos?

For private shoots and galleries, the maximum time it will take from shoot day to you recieving your photos is three weeks. I will keep you updated throughout the entire process, including once your shoot is complete and you are awaiting the results.

How long will my shoot last?

There is no time limit on your photoshoot, however on average most shoots last for around 1 hour. During this time we can shoot at several locations in order to give you a wide choice of photos and to keep your horse interested.

What kind of gear do you use?

I shoot using either a Canon 1DX or Canon 77D, and a combination of Canon and Tamron lenses. My usual setup is my 1DX with a 70-200mm F2.8 Tamron.

Will my photos be published on social media?

Before publishing any photos on social media with either you or your animal in, I will contact you asking for your permission. Having your photos published onto social media is in no way a mandatory part of your shoot.

How much do additional photos cost?

Additional photos can be purchased at a standard rate of £10 per photo.

What if it rains?

To call the Scottish weather unpredictable is an understatement. If the weather forecast is looking bad on the run up to your shoot, I will contact you to discuss the possibility of rescheduling to a better day.

How much do I need to pay upfront?

Each booking requires a non-refundable £10 deposit. After this, the rest of the payment is required on the day of your shoot - this can be either in cash or via bank transfer.

Can you take ridden photos too?

Absolutely! As I also cover competitions, I am confident in getting ridden shots to show off your horse under saddle as well as on the ground.

What should I expect on the day?

Upon booking a photoshoot, I will send you a complimentary PDF guide talking you through everything involved with a shoot. I am always happy to answer any further questions and accommodate any special requests.
